A Gala Night of Starlight and Red Carpets, May 16,2015 @ Pacific Palms Resort

In celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage , the 2015 Literature and Film Festival of Southern California facilitate cultural exchange through film screening, roundtable discussions, interviews, music, dance, exhibitions with award winning actors, actress, such as, Gui Ya Lei, script writer, Chang Yuan Hsien, film scholars, literature scholars, Michael Berry, James Wicks, Brian Bernards, Akira Lippit. musician, dancers, and other distinguished guests.

Legendary actress Gua Ah-lei met with the students at USC on May 1, to share her over half-century experiences and participated roundtable discussion. She participated director Ang Lee 's "The Wedding Banquet "? "Eat Drink Man Woman", and recently worked with Hollywood team for the new film "Baby Steps". She will attend the Night of Starlight and Red Carpets on May 16, 2015 at Pacific Palms Resorts, together with other Asian movie stars from 60s-80s.

The evening program will brief film stories from 1930- now, through music, dance, film clips and their stories.

East Asia Studies and Chinese Literature Classes students from USC, East L.A. City College , Los Angeles City College have participated 2015 Literature and Film Festival program as volunteers and will perform at the program on May 16. As they said, it makes learning fun.
